Cold Room Panels & Insulated Wall Systems

We manufacture insulated panelling for a wide range of industries. Due to all processes being manufactured in-house, we are able to make specialised products, and the versatile strength of our polyurethane panels can fulfil most needs for cold & freezer rooms of any size.

Specification

Cold room panels are manufactured by injecting a two-part polyurethane substrate between two cladding layers in a heated moulding system, making them suitable for cold storage rooms and freezer applications of any scale.

Thermal properties are 25-30% superior to polystyrene and at least 70% better than any typical mineral wool material. Long-term thermal resistance is achieved between -30°C and 90°C; temperatures of up to 250°C can be withstood for a short period without damage. Closed-cell foam is packed at a density of 38-40kg/m3 and has fire-retardant properties. Due to the closed-cell nature of the polyurethane, moisture is not absorbed and is resistant to insects and rodents.

Standard finish is white Chromadek, but we also stock black Chromadek and stainless steel for specialised chemical and food safe requirements. Each cold room panel is supplied with a protective plastic on each side to avoid scratching in transit and during installation. Chromadek has a rigidised/ribbed finish as standard, but can also be manufactured in smooth/plain on request.

The wall system is tongue and groove in concept, providing a weathertight seal between panels, along with no cold bridging between skins. Panels have a lateral coverage of 1179mm per panel. Standard panel thicknesses are 42, 50, 75, 100, 125, and 150mm, suitable for mobile cold rooms, walk-in cold storage rooms, and large industrial installations.

We are also capable of manufacturing polyurethane foam slabs with a tongue and groove join, perfect for insulating floors before throwing a final cement screed. If concrete is in situ, we can provide standard panels which would require an Aluminium checker plate finish.
